The Student Herald is a Federal Canadian Corporation with provincial operations in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia. The corporation began as an immigration newsletter operation and soon expanded to a recruitment platform for overseas recruitment to fill the labour requirements in Canada for jobs NOT filled in Canada. The Student Herald is currently embarking on an ambitious project in expanding our workforce with a new Recruiter portfolio beginning in 2019. We are looking for two HR coordinators and an administrative assistant to join our “work from home” team. We offer a work from home platform at $22/hr (on probation) for five hours a day, five days a week. Our hours are flexible and allow our team to work at their own pace. Currently, there are no benefits included in the employment arrangement.
Growth: This position offers fast growth for the right person. Once regularized, this position attracts a $25/hr. This position offers flexible working hours, meaning that you will be working any time between 8 am and 6 pm, depending on what is best for your clients, and wages are paid based on logged work with internal software.
What is this position about? Immigration is a significant player in the Canadian ecosystem. International recruitment will be a major component of the employment-driven approach promoted by the Canadian Immigration Department. In partnership with major immigration firms, The Student Herald would like to be a dominant player in this space. Global operations are one of the objectives of the new direction of recruitment.
Equipment and other requirements: Currently, this position is available for experienced individuals who have their own equipment and space to work from home. During probation (first four months or less), you are required to operate from your equipment or BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), including a computer and a phone. You are provided with a SIM card or VoIP phone to send and receive calls. You must have a reliable and consistent wifi speed of at least 30mbps.
Selection: The Student Herald is looking for HR experience or entrepreneur experience. The primary responsibility involves contacting employers and working as account managers to service clients’ employment needs.
This position is for a self-driven and honest individual whose work logs and project management tool justifies logged hours. Training will be provided in the use of any custom applications, however basic computer and application skills is a requirement for the job.
Selected candidates will be expected to start in a week after the employment contract is signed, however, the notice period for current employment may be considered.
