The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program nominates potential immigrants based on quotas from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.
Saskatchewan nominated applicants in March from the International Skilled Worker category. Some of these applicants were from the Express Entry program and some were from Occupations In-Demand.
Applicants needed a good score and work experience in one of the high demand occupations. They also needed to show that their foreign education met the appropriate standard and that they met the language requirements.
The Occupations In-Demand category is for workers who are highly skilled but do not yet have a job offer in Saskatchewan.
Selections are also based on the labour market and provincial priorities, along with the number of applicants.
Saskatchewan provincial nomination can lead to Permanent Residence in Canada.
