Business Impact Category:
The Business Impact Category calls for entrepreneurs’ application with a view to make PEI economically more dynamic and hence, offering entrepreneurs permanent residence upon running and managing their businesses that can foster a win-win relationship between the business-owners and the residents currently residing there. It has three main sub-categories:
- 100% Ownership Stream:
This category gives residence to entrepreneurs who hold 100% ownership of a business. To obtain and run businesses, entrepreneurs need to be approved by the immigration office first. Moreover, upon meeting all requirements and submitting required documents, entrepreneurs are to deposit a total of $200,000 CAD (conditionally refundable) in the escrow.
- Partial Ownership Stream
It is also possible for business-owners to migrate to Canada by partially owning a business. This model requires the entrepreneurs to own at least 1/3 portion of a business or invest at least $1,000,000 CAD in the equity of the business.
- Work Permit Stream
The work permit stream is open for entrepreneurs who come here getting a work permit and wish to gradually develop their knowledge of business where they will invest in the future.

With the ever changing labour market in Prince Edward Island, the need for skilled workers and employees is on the rise. Hence, this category offers immigration, work and settlement options in PEI for the right people with the right skill set.
Express Entry
Express Entry, accepts application for permanent residence through the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) EE process.
