After months of restriction, direct flights from India to Canada resumed on Sept. 27, 2021.
Direct flights had been suspended in April after India had a large number of cases during the pandemic.
In order to be allowed entry to Canada as of the update, travellers from India must show a negative test from an approved lab within 18 hours of departure. Fully vaccinated travellers must upload their information to the appropriate website or app.
Travellers to Canada from India via an indirect route need to have a negative test from a third country within 72 hours of departure.
Canada is again welcoming travellers from India with the proper documentation during the pandemic via direct flights.
