Good day ladies and gentlemen, Today I am going to analyse the first Express Entry application. The first 775 candidates who were selected in the first intake. Here is the list based on Nationality and Residency. The first chart shows the number based on Nationality and the second chart shows Residency. If you are confused by the meaning of both these charts, here is an example. Your citizenship demonstrates nationality and your current residence shows residency. If you are a Pilipino national and you hold a Philippine passport, then your first chart would have included you as a Philippine national, however if you are currently on a work permit in Canada, you will be included in the second chart as a resident of Canada.

These two charts can give you a fair background on where most of the applications are coming from. E.g: When you see the Canadian Residency in the second Chart, it is fairly high, and when you compare it with the Indian Citizenship in the first chart, you can make a fair determination that most of the applications with Canadian residency actually came from Indian Citizens. Possibly those on work permits inside Canada, and so on…
Use these charts to tickle your brains, this is for information only. Please click the pause button to view the charts in depth!
