IRCC is proposing changes and may increase the maximum age of a dependent child accompanying a principal applicant on an application. unmarried children aged 19 and under may be included as a dependent on an application under the current regulation. The intention is to enable more immigrants to bring their children with them, and reduce the need for multiple applications within a family. We may see a revert to the previous law which allowed any dependent as long as they met the definition without any restriction of age or we may see an upward revision of the maximum age, Please stay tuned!
