Opportunities in Most Provinces
Frequently asked questions
Most Canadian provinces have recently implemented special programs that encourage business migration to Canada. These programs allow people to open a business and apply for permanent residence under a business migration stream. Provinces have different economic objectives and therefore target different industries/businesses.
No, unfortunately business migration is only for people that have management or business experience. There is a chance of business failure and the Canadian government would like to minimize that risk by selecting experienced individuals so it is very unlikely to be chosen if you lack business or management experience.
If you are a businessperson, business migration will almost always be the best migration option to Canada. The Student Herald has partnered with Polinsys Business and Investments Consultants as well as Polinsys Immigration. The timeline is dependant on multiple factors so therefore, we cannot guarantee it. Typically clients take two years, one year to establish a business and one year to get nomination and process PR for the family. Since we have no control over application processing and other factors, we cannot provide or guarantee a time frame.
Due to our partnerships, you have many options to choose from in terms of involvement and risk mitigation. You can start your own business, buy a business which is here, or you can join a venture capitalist and start a business which may be good for you if you lack business experience.

If you qualify for one or more business migration programs, the next step would be to enroll in the Polinsys Business Preparedness where they will collect more information and compare your profile to every provincial program to determine which provinces/programs you have the best chance at applying to. Following preparedness, you will come to Canada on an exploratory visit in order to gain knowledge of the business environment. Additional steps can be seen in the fee chart.
Before enrolling in Polinsys Business Preparedness, it is recommended that you carefully review the fees. While business migration is a great pathway to come to Canada, it may not be feasible for everyone. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with the fees here.
